Free Facebook Stores for Affiliate Marketers
Israeli startup, Zibaba have announced that all affiliates working with Zibaba’s partner affiliate networks, will be entitled to promote the affiliate networks’ merchants using Zibaba’s, state of the art, Facebook storefront, for free.
“Online affiliate marketing is huge and increasingly competitive.” Ronen Shlomo, CEO of Zibaba, stated. “We believe that by giving affiliates more options for online exposure, with the use of a free Zibaba developed Facebook storefront, we be beneficial to affiliates, our affiliate network partners and the merchants.”
Using the Zibaba storefront, affiliates will be able to create their own store directly from their Facebook fan page. They can stock the stores with merchandise using either data feeds from the affiliate network or individual merchandise of their choice, also supplied by the affiliate network. All of the relevant affiliate tracking links are also embedded into the storefront and affiliates can view their statistics through their affiliate account with the respective affiliate network.
Ronen continued, “We understand the market and the different challenges faced by retail merchants and affiliates alike. Right now the potential of Facebook storefronts has only just begun to evolve. One year from now, I believe that every online retailer will have a Facebook storefront as an addition which compliments and expands their online offering. Giving affiliates the chance to utilize this marketing channel will increase affiliate revenues and, in turn, increase merchant revenues.”
“Our aim is to partner up with every major affiliate network and offer this to all of their existing and new affiliates,” said Michael Katz, VP Business Development and Investor Relations. “The model is very simple. In the cases where affiliates open a Free Zibaba Facebook store, we act as a ‘super’ affiliate through our affiliate network partners. We are interested in speaking with every affiliate network and making mutually beneficial, strategic partnerships.”
Katz continued “There are many development companies currently offering cataloging and storefront functionality on Facebook, but with features such as ‘Group Buy’, which enables store owners to offer items at discounted rates to large numbers of shoppers within a specified time period, Zibaba is beginning to pull away from the pack.”
